On August 17th 2015, 12 years had passed since my son Aaron Shoulders was brutally attacked and murdered. His case remains "unsolved" his killer(s) still at large, living free. Witnesses remain silent after all these years. Violence kills... Silence kills more! "He who does not punish evil, commands it to be done!"

I, Steffi Stehwien, the mother of Aaron Shoulders, founded the Walk for Justice for Murder Victims in 2006. We are uniting and making a stand for Justice, we are the voices of those who are no longer here to speak! He who stands for nothing… falls for everything! If we stay silent... they stay violent!

Our 10th Annual AARON SHOULDERS WALK FOR JUSTICE FOR MURDER VICTIMS INTERNATIONAL, was held on September 5th in Calgary. The weather was somber as the event.. cold and wet; as if the heavens filled our city with tears for our murder victims and the horrific injustice done to them! Our attendance was small due to the rain compared to previous years; however our voices rang strong and loud as we walked through the downtown core. This just proves it is not the number but the commitment and conviction that makes it powerful.

Those who believe we carry an IMPORTANT MESSAGE were present. Three Families and friends walked for a LOVED ONE who was brutally murdered. We had 20 people in total.

Our Calgary Police once again did a fantastic job leading us to the Court Center and back... THANK YOU! We had excellent coverage, a BIG THANK YOU goes out to CBC News, CTV News, Global News, CHQR 770 News, 660 News and the Calgary SUN, for doing an awesome job in covering this important event in its entirety!

A BIG THANK YOU to all the Families and Friends that walked with us. I understand it is a very painful, difficult and emotional day for us, therefore I appreciate your ongoing participation and continual support. A very special THANK YOU to my daughter Chicoma & Johnny for performing the song "A Picture Of You" it was truly powerful and amazing!
