August 17th 2010 marks 7 years since my son Aaron
Shoulders was swarmed by 12 Asian gang members, brutally attacked,
beaten and fatally stabbed in front of NYLA nightclub... close
to 200 onlookers watching... many witnessed this crime. Aaron
was an innocent bystander and died a torturous death on September
1, 2003. Aaron's murder case is 7 years "unsolved"
his killer(s) still at large, living free. Witnesses remain
silent. NO arrests made – NO one convicted - NO Justice
served – Violence kills... Silence kills more! "He
who does not punish evil, commands it to be done!"
I, Steffi Stehwien, the mother of Aaron Shoulders, founded
the Walk for Justice for Murder Victims in 2006.
We are uniting and making a stand for Justice, we are the
voices of those who are no longer here to speak!
He who stands for nothing… falls for everything! If
we stay silent... they stay violent!
Our 5th Annual AARON SHOULDERS WALK FOR JUSTICE FOR MURDER
VICTIMS INTERNATIONAL, held on September 11th in Calgary.
The weather was rainy off and on, and therefore the turnout
less than last year. Our voices rang strong and loud as we
walked through the downtown core.
Nine Families and friends walked for a LOVED ONE who was brutally
murdered. We had about 70 people in total.
Our Calgary Police did a fantastic job leading us to the Court
Centre and back... THANK YOU! We had excellent Media coverage...THANK
YOU to all the NEWS media for doing an awesome job in covering
this important event!
A BIG THANK YOU to all the Families and Friends that walked
with us, I understand it is a very painful, difficult and
emotional day for us, therefore I appreciate your participation
and support. A very special THANK YOU to my daughter Chicoma
& Johnny for performing the song "A Picture Of You"
it was truly amazing! I would also like to take this opportunity
to thank everyone for their donations through the Ribbon Campaign
and Bottle-Drive, and to all who helped in making this event
a success.

On
Saturday, dozens of people took part in the fifth annual Walk
for Justice for Murder Victims.
The event is organized by Steffi Stehwien, the mother of murder
victim Aaron Shoulders.
Seven years ago, Shoulders was stabbed to death in front of
a Calgary bar.
Despite the fact there were over a hundred witnesses, no one
has been arrested for the murder of Shoulders.
Friends and family joined the still grieving mother for the
walk which not only honours Aaron's memory, but all murder
victims.
